About Me

Hi, I’m Anya - a lover of travel, nature, and all things creative!

I was born and raised in Surrey (where I am currently based), and later studied BA Fine Art at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating with a First Class Honours. From a young age, I always knew I wanted to be an artist, and now take great joy in creating personalised artworks for others to treasure.

I specialise in pet portraits using a combination of watercolour and acrylic ink - a technique I've experimented with and refined over 8+ years. This style grew from my love of exploring different styles and mediums; I love creating work that feels fun and expressive, which is reflected in my pet portraits and their signature splash effect.

I’ve been painting commissioned pet portraits for over six years, starting during COVID when I began creating pieces for friends. Although I don’t have pets of my own, I’ve always loved being around them. I grew up forming a close bond with my neighbour’s dog, and with many friends who have pets, I understand just how much they mean to their owners. Often described as a perfectionist, I know how important it is to capture not just a pet’s likeness, but their personality too, and I take great care in every portrait to ensure this.

Outside of painting, I enjoy travelling, photography, and staying active, often finding inspiration in nature and new places. I also have a passion for art curation - as an avid organiser, I love bringing artists' work together in creative ways and giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent. Working part-time as a college art technician, I also enjoy supporting students in developing their own creative style.

Thank you so much for visiting my website, and to every client who has commissioned a portrait - I truly appreciate your support <3
